    Biosolids are a nutrient rich, organic by-product of the wastewater treatment process. They contain large amounts of nitrogen and phosphorous which are required for crop growth and small quantities of potassium and other essential micro nutrients such as iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, molybdenum, and cobalt.

    Biosolids (treated sewage sludge) are a nutrient-rich by-product of the wastewater treatment process. They contain organic matter which can enrich the soil and most nutrients required for crop growth. Biosolids have been applied to agricultural land in Canada and internationally for over 40 years. All of the biosolids in the Brantford, Paris, and St. George plants are applied to agricultural land in the surrounding area.
